Fresh Off the Loom

It's really hard sometimes to take a really good picture of things that are woven.  This rug is striking in person, but the photos just don't do the colors justice.  This is yarn I bought at Taos Fiber Arts in Taos, New Mexico.  50/50 churro and alpaca.  Dyed by the fabulous Julie Cloutman and her daughter Ashley Rose, co-owners of Taos Fiber Arts, the yarn originated at The Mora Valley Spinning Mill in Mora, New Mexico.  The mill is also known to many as Tapetes de Lana which was it's name when I first found the place.  Now it is a must stop every time I am in New Mexico.
