Talented Friends

My friend Faye makes the coolest bags.  This is the newest in her line of handbags.  It will be my new knitting bag.  She has several new designs and projects lined up and it will be so exciting to see what she comes up with.  This bag spoke to me and I love it.

Faye is so talented in so many ways I can hardly begin to describe her creativity.  She can see an  old worn looking piece of fabric and picture in her mind just what she could do to bring it to life, and she does. She creates incredible costumes for the theatre here in Fayetteville and makes everything she creates sparkle with life.

Everyone has a talent,  an artistic flair, you might call it, yet some folks don't give themselves enough room to find or experience their talent or artistic side and go through their entire lives not realizing if they had just opened up to their creative side a little bit more that their lives might have a little bit of a different spice to it.

Figure out your talent and go for the gold ring I say. Find that artistic side of yourself and set it free.   I want to be a weaver when I grow up and live in New Mexico.  What do you want to be?

Headed to Ghost Ranch

The time has come to ship off  a few pieces to New Mexico for the Ghost Ranch Show with my guild, Art Through The Loom.  Here are my selections for the show.  I tried to use yarns produced exclusively in New Mexico and tried to get a more "natural" look with my runners.  I guess more "organic"  might be a better way of saying it.

I guess I should tell the names on these pics.  At the top is Rio Grande Gorge, the second is Arkansas Sunset in Winter, the third, My New Mexico, and the last Summer Runner.
