New Mexico Respose

Vacation time. What a marvelous vacation it was...our property on the West mesa outside of Taos across the Rio Grande Gorge bridge.
Afternoon thunderstorms over Taos Mountain. The Rio Grande down at the John Dunn bridge and the switchbacks. The Indian Arts and Cultural Museum in Santa Fe...It was a busy yet relaxing week. Can't wait until I live there.

Finally, the longest rug in the world...

Not really, but it felt like it...I did not mean to go on and I am constantly learning about control in my weaving. Consistency is not really over-rated, but it is hard for me to maintain. I imagine if I could set down for really long stretches and do this weaving I love to do, that I could be more consistent. I find I relax approaching the end of the project and it all gets better, smoother and unfortunately my tape measure relaxes and my ends are always a bit wider in stripe than my beginnings. next up no stripes just patterns...

What's Up Tigerlily?

1st of July. Nice cool weather for a change almost in the 50's last night mid to upper 80's in the day. I love it. In just a few weeks we will be in New Mexico and it makes my heart soar in anticipation of all that sky and sage and mountains. Flowers abound here still and a new offering in marvelous baby sweaters from my friend Fibertwin.
